Completed Duplicate Stitch

This little sweater was completed in 2003 for my 7 year old nephew, Blake. He picked out the Barnyard pattern ~ so I figured I'd better get to it before he outgrew the sweater! I left off all the "girlie" stuff ~ the sequins and beads, and just used good old DMC floss.

I got a present in the mail ~ a picture of Blake proudly wearing his sweater. I hope he gets lots of use out of it.

Now this picture's got a lot in it! I had to stitch together a bunch of little scans to come up with this. The top part is the Stitcher's Tools sweater I did for my Mom's late birthday present in 2003. The fabric at the bottom is material she found several years ago to make a skirt with. We changed the colorways to match the skirt. The buttons on the side are close-ups of the buttons I used to accent the sweater. Now I just need to get a picture of her in it with her skirt! Of course, that means she'll have to make her skirt now! :)
