Here are the items I've finished in the year 2000 - some are framed, some aren't; and actually, some aren't *quite* finished - they're just stitched! :) If you wish to see a bigger picture, just click on the thumbnail.

Alma Lynne had a little Merry Christmas sign & wreath that fit in the Noah's Ark frame I had gotten for my Mom. (See the Just Cross Stitch piece below) The top was a lovely little wreath. |

The bottom piece reads, "Merry Christmas." Unfortunately, Mom lost this piece for awhile, although she had the Just Cross Stitch pieces in the ark. Thankfully, she finally found them. They were put away where she wouldn't forget them! :)

I did this Noah's Ark bookmark for Mom from a little Dimensions kit. It was a very quick stitch ~ which was nice, compared to all the other things I wound up doing! |

Dimensions' Daydreams are beautiful little Plastic Canvas kits. I finished 2 of these in the Fall of 2000 & 2 in the Spring of 2001. Instead of stitching straight x's across, I created my own 1/2 & 3/4 stitches (not through the plastic, but it still gives the effect) Hopefully, the larger pictures will show some of that.

I really enjoyed these plastic canvas designs by Dimensions from their Daydreams line. They have exquisite colors in them. The Butterfly says Daydream at the bottom.

I actually worked on both the Pansy & Butterfly during a show at the Alley Theatre. Pansies are my sweetie's favortie flower. This one says Imagine at the bottom.

When my best friends asked us to be the godparents to their first little one, Ethan, I knew I would make something special for him. Jennifer & David had decorated his room with Noah's Ark, so I cross-stitched my very first afghan for my little godson. It is from Graphworks International and is called Noah's Ark Baby Afghan. The scan on the right is me holding it up before I mailed it off. The scan on the left is from the photo andd will have to do until I can get a better one when I wander over to Memphis.
This is done on a full-size afghan from MCG Textiles ~ and it had perfect squares!

I've always loved the Bob Harrison cats; in fact, before I found the cross-stitch books, I collected some of the prints. This particular one is called Enchanted Garden and is in Leisure Arts' leaflet Cats & Flowers. It is done on 25 count White Lugana with DMC and framed with pink & silver marble matting with a silver frame.

This kitty is called Hide 'N' Seek from Leisure Arts' leaflet Cats & Flowers. It is done on 25 count White Lugana with DMC and framed with pink & silver marble matting with a silver frame.
One of the interesting things about Harrison's cats is that everything is done with 1 strand of floss, except for the eyes & nose; thereby, making them really stand out ~ arresting your attention.

This kitty from Bob Harrison is aptly named Private Moments and is from Leisure Arts' leaflet Cats & Flowers. It is stitched on 25 count White Lugana with DMC and framed with gray & silver marble matting with a silver frame.

The kitty watching the butterfly is called Spring Fever and is from Leisure Arts' leaflet Cats & Flowers, by Bob Harrison . It is stitched on 25 count White Lugana with DMC and is framed with gray & silver marble matting with a silver frame.

I found this little Noah's Ark in a Just Cross Stitch magazine and got the frame before it was discontinued ~ thankfully! The top part has Noah, giraffes, a kitty and a dove. It is from Just Cross Stitch September/October 1995. This was Mom's Christmas present this year instead of a Lavender & Lace angel.

This little Noah's Ark has some fun animals ~ a bat, a pig, a turtle, an owl, etc. This is hanging in my Mom's Noah's Ark bathroom. Both of these pieces were completed in 2000.

This beautiful angel is Spring Angel from Stoney Creek's Gathering Of Angels leaflet. She is done on 28 count Forget-Me-Not Blue Jobelan (one of my *favorite* colors) in DMC. The picture on the right shows the back of my Spring Angel.

This angel is the second in Stoney Creek's seasonal angels. She is Summer Angel from Stoney Creek's Gathering Of Angels leaflet. She is done on 28 count Forget-Me-Not Blue Jobelan in DMC.
